Argggh...

Both the shares are down another 10% from the price I bought... and it has only been 40 minutes... hope fully Gordon Brown will make a positive statement afte his 5 PM meeting with the Bank of England Governor Mervyn King, Chancellor Alistair Darling and the chairman of the Financial Services Authority, Lord Turner.

I have bought bank shares again

I know in the previous post I said I wouldn't buy any more shares because of my previous bad experience with Northern Rock. However, the possibility to make a killing seemed so irresitable yesterday when the London Stock Exchange FTSE reached the lowest in 24 years... surely it can't get any worse. So I decided to invest again.

Now the big question was which shares to invest. Both RBS and HBOS seemed to have lost enough value it seemed like a good investment. So I put a limit buy insturction for both the shares. But some reason the 'people didn't want to sell me shares at the price I was quoting', and nothing happened.

This morning as I expected the prices shooted up when greedy share traders tried to make some profit. But within 10 minutes or so the prices started to come down again. My greed started to grow again.

To cut long story short, I bought RBS shares for 98.5 pence and HBOS shares for 108.7 Pence a share which was both about 50% less than the price at which I would have bought it yesterday. So I am mighty pleased.

However both the shares went futher down so I am not as pleased as I was say 15 minutes before.

I will let you know when I make a killing out of this shares. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I don't have anything to write

It is interesting... that until now I thought if I start a blog I would write every day about every thing.. It is funny that even on a day when Lehman Brothers went under and AIG is on the verge of cloaps I can't think of any thing to write...

May be I should buy some
AIG shares and hope the company would survive... after all the American government cannot possibly let it collapse. The impact would be huge.. With the share prices down over 70% there is no better time to buy those shares. But Northern Rock burned my hands so bad that I can't convince myself to buy some of those AIG shares. Ah!!! I thought I had the bargain of the century when I bought those Northern Rock shares. How could the bank possibly go under.. all the banks were doing so well, HSBC 9 billion profit, Barclays 7 Billion and so on... surely all I need to do is wait a bit and the market will bounce back again. But all those calculations went down the drain... so I am not going to buy any AIG shares tomorrow.. I know I will probably regret it later... but hey...

I am sure some wise guy reading this blog (that is if any one is reading this) will heed to my advice and will go and buy a lot of AIG shares tomorrow morning and will become rich soon..

Evening passed and morning came marking the first day; "let there be blog" and there was blog

I chose the pseudonym (Bourgeois Politicos) without much thought... but now thinking about it, I am actually a Bourgeois Politicos; well that would depend on what you think the definition of 'middle class' is though.

Everyday when I hear news and news analysis, I think of commenting about it, would think of calling the Beeb straight away or emailing them later but never managed to do that. I would end up ranting about it and providing my own 'unbiased' analysis of the issue to my near and dear. Late as it may, I realised that politics (international or local), proletarian development, surplus value theory, arms deals and beauty of capitalism are not exactly 'friendship making' topics. So that is why I decided to start a blog.

So here we go... Ladies and Gentlemen let me present to you 'My Liberal-right Political Musings'
